We closed on December 20th and are loving it. As with most new houses, there are a few minor things that need to be fixed here and there, but overall it's been absolutely awesome.
Capone loves his new house. I think it helps that we moved around Christmas, so lost of catnip and toys came along with his new house. (Aunt Janna gave him a vile of catnip... it looks a bit suspicious...)
Parsley... isn't quite sure about the house. She's doing great as far as no accidents and no chewing up furniture or anything. However, her separation anxiety is in overdrive lately. We got a "Doggie Glad Plug-In" that gives off Dog Appeasing Pheromones (DAP) that is supposed to calm her down...yyyyeah. We'll see about that. It's been a week. So far she has chewed through two kennels in less than a month. We've been having her sleep in her kennel at night so she can get used to it, but she hasn't slept more than a couple hours a day for the past four days. I'm hoping she'll eventually be so exhausted that she'll have to sleep in the kennel. We'll see... right now she's sound asleep on the couch next to me. I open the door to let her out of the kennel, take her outside to potty and she comes back in and passes out on the floor. It's upsetting. But our new vet has been very helpful and is sure we'll figure out the best way to help.
Paul is good. He got a promotion and starts on Monday. He's pretty excited about it. :) He started back up with school this past week. Just a few more years to go!
I'm good. Job is good... this week has been a good week. Went to lunch with my boss today and got a chance to talk about stuff other than work. The past two days have been the kind of days when you've got a ton of stuff to do, but for some reason you have a ton of motivation and you just plow through it. It felt good to get so much stuff done.
Next weekend, I plan on putting up a backsplash. (if we get it in the mail on time...)
This is what we're looking at ordering:
It's pretty cool and pretty easy to install... I'll post pics. :)
A couple people made comments today about my desk-area at work... my wall may or may not be covered in pictures of Joel. Most of the Joel pictures are wallet sized. I have a few big ones of Hunter. My desk is Nadia-themed, with the exception of a framed picture of Joel's feet. (I have Nadia's basketball schedule under my glass desk top, numerous soccer pictures and an uber cute pic of her and Matt holding a dead deer up) So I love my neices and nephews. :)
AND... get this: Only ONE picture of Parsley... crazy, huh?
Okay, more updates Sunday... I need to get pictures of the house.
